Fraud Prevention Month

As you may know, March is Fraud Prevention Month, and JuicyAds is committed to ensuring our clients’ highest level of protection and trust. We believe combating fraud is an important responsibility and have implemented various measures to prevent fraud in the advertising ecosystem.

Proprietary Anti-Fraud Detection
In development for 17 years now (since the start of the network), our proprietary anti-fraud detection system utilizes many detection models to identify and block click fraud originating from hit bots, click farms, and many other devious fraud methods. One of the key advantages of our proprietary anti-fraud detection system is that it is continuously updated to keep up with the latest fraud techniques and was designed to be flexible, allowing us to adapt to different types of fraud and customize our approach based on our client’s needs. As I write this, we are building our next-generation click fraud detection system.

Third-Party Auditing
We believe that third-party independent click auditing is also essential to fraud prevention. Our auditing process is conducted by reputable, independent firms specializing in click fraud detection. Our manual auditing process includes analyzing the source and quality of the traffic, as well as investigating any unusual patterns in traffic. This ensures our advertisers benefit from redundant fallback detection systems, resulting in higher-quality traffic. Plus, when a Publisher is terminated for fraud, our data partners provide concrete third-party evidence in addition to our internal findings. While we cannot share our actual detection models with the public (or our clients), our goal is to deliver the cleanest traffic possible.

Internal Benchmarking
In addition to our proprietary anti-fraud efforts and third-party auditing, we conduct internal traffic benchmarking to identify suspicious activity patterns and monitor traffic quality. This allows us to proactively identify and eliminate fraudulent publishers before receiving complaints from advertisers. We use advanced analytics tools to track and analyze our traffic, allowing us to quickly identify any issues and take corrective action. By monitoring the quality of our traffic, we can identify any unusual activity or patterns and take proactive steps to stop persistent fraud.

Advertiser Feedback
Of course, no anti-fraud strategy is complete without you, our advertisers. While every offer performs differently, we can review data across thousands of campaigns and determine if a black hole exists where ad dollars go and never come back. When you see something, say something—report when you see suspicious traffic patterns and provide as much detail and data as possible. If we confirm your findings, you are eligible for a refund, and you will also be making JuicyAds a better place (that warm and fuzzy feeling).

Higher Standards
By maintaining higher standards and refusing to accept questionable traffic, our advertisers and publishers will earn more long-term profits. We also reject bad traffic that other advertising networks accept. While fraudsters don’t like it when we cut off their illicit earnings, they almost always immediately set up another less-strict advertising network. A favorite comment from these scammers who get suspended is, “but my traffic is 100% human, and that other big ad network hasn’t suspended me.” Our response to this attitude is simple — JuicyAds is more serious about combating rampant click fraud than that “other” network. Our network, advertisers, and even publishers earn more money by keeping scammers out; the goal is to create a safer advertising environment for all.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in JuicyAds.
